Catherine Nevera is a seasoned Toy Designer who loves creating fun, unique designs. With years of experience in the toy industry, Catherine goes through every step of the design process for her products. Each toy is sketched, modeled, 3D printed, assembled, and documented by her. Forward-thinking and detail driven, Catherine is increidbly meticulous about everything choice she makes within each step of her designs. She uses a multitude of programs such as Blender, Fusion 360, Procreate, Prusa Slicer, Octoprint and more to create her work.

Throughout her years as a designer, Catherine mastered multiple roles within her time at Mezel Mods. Each step from inital sketches, prototyping, to finished projects were completely overseen by her. Since Mezel Mods is a third party company working within existing pinball machines, each design has countless conserations that had to be worked through. Every toy needed to work seamlessly on the playfields, elevate existing parts of the game, easy to install, easy to assemble, within budget, all while managing game-specific obstacles.

Catherine’s hands-on approach to design has given her a deep understanding of of what makes a good product at every step. Throughtout her time at MM she worked way up, starting as a mail girl and seconday designer all the way up to Creative Director. Working every single role gave Catherine a well-rounded persepctive on what makes a workplace tick. This multidisciplinary approach lead to a soild working knowledge through the many different tools used for deisgn. Working mainly in Fusion360 and Blender, Catherine used both CAD and Polygonal modeling techniques within many of her works. With her previous work as a 3D Printing Lab Manager at her Alma Mater, Catherine also managed the printing room at MM. PrusaSlicer and Meshmixer were constantly used to both slice and patch existing models, as well as improve things like printability.
